Who doesn’t love chicken nuggets? With this recipe, you can make your own cheesy chicken nuggets right from your own kitchen.
We have created a dish that combines everyone’s favorite foods: cheese and fried chicken. This simple recipe will leave you speechless as you indulge in something that may just be even better than your favorite fast-food restaurant.
If you follow our instructions below, to make this quick and easy meal. The total preparation/cook time is around 30 minutes and the recipe is simple enough for anyone to follow. This meal is great for both kids and adults and is sure to impress your guests.
Before you start, be sure to get all your ingredients out, wash your hands, and make sure you have a clean space to work with. Once this is done, you are ready to get started!
First, grab a cutting board for your chicken breast and begin cutting it up into the size and shape you would like. You can do nuggets or strips and make them whatever size you would like. You could even go crazy here and create some fun shapes- great for kids!
Once your chicken is all cut up, you will cut a hole on the inside and fill it with a piece of mozzarella cheese. Stuff all of the chicken nuggets and place them to the side. When you are cutting your hole, be careful not to cut all the way through.
Mixing the Crust
Next, grab two small bowls and one medium sized bowl. In the larger bowl, add your breadcrumbs, basil, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and parmesan cheese. You can feel free to add any other ingredients you like here in order to make it your own. If you enjoy spicy foods, you may want to add some chili pepper, cayenne pepper, or other spices to give it a bit of a kick.
In one of your other bowls, add your eggs and beat them until they are well-mixed. In the other bowl, add your flour.
Take a piece of chicken and dip it in the flour, then the eggs, then the breadcrumb mix, and place it to the side. Repeat with all of your chicken nuggets. Now, they are ready to be cooked!
Baking the Chicken
Grab a pan and fill it with about an inch of oil and heat it until it reaches about 350 degrees. You can use whatever kind of oil you want here such as vegetable oil, olive oil, coconut oil, or whatever else you have. Fry your chicken pieces on both sides until it is a nice, golden brown. Once the chicken is cooked, place it on a plate that is covered with a paper towel (this will help absorb some of the oil) and let it cool.
Now, you are all done and ready to enjoy! This recipe is great served with marinara sauce.
