Instant Pot Spinach Artichoke Dip

Unexpected company? No problem! You can easily keep the key ingredients on hand and have this delicious and elegant appetizer on the table in about the time it takes to serve the first round of beverages. This appetizer will make you look like a star.

Whether it’s a watch party for the big game, tailgating, a holiday get-together or just a Tuesday with friends, this recipe makes a great appetizer before a meal or a fantastic centerpiece to a buffet of snacks. It’s an all-occasion, all-season crowd pleaser.

Pro tip: If any of the artichoke hearts are large, cut them in half for a more uniform consistency.

  • 12-15 oz artichoke hearts from jar or can, drained
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 10 oz box frozen spinach
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 14 oz shredded parmesan
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella or Monterey jack
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce, or to taste (optional)



  1. Mix together drained artichoke hearts, onion, broth and garlic in the Instant Pot.
  2. Top with frozen spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Do not stir.
  3. Secure the lid, making sure the vent is closed.
  4. Using the display panel select the MANUAL function*. Use the +/- keys and program the Instant Pot for 4 minutes.
  5. When the time is up, quick-release the remaining pressure.
  6. Stir in cheese and hot sauce( optional). Serve with tortilla chips or sliced baguette.

*The MANUAL and PRESSURE COOK buttons are interchangeable.
