And like most all Instant Pot meals, once the ingredients are in, you can simply walk away while it is cooking. Go help with that homework. Throw in a load of laundry. Or sneak off to that Netflix episode you’ve been dying to finish.
For best results, add the ingredients in the order listed and don’t forget to stir before you close the lid. It will help to keep the meatballs and pasta from clumping at the end.
Want to amp up the protein with whole wheat pasta? Just be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly: Take the cooking time on the pasta package, divide it by two and round up to the next whole minute.

- 3 cups water
- 1 14-18 oz bag frozen meatballs
- 1 12-16 oz box Gemelli, penne or other short pasta
- 1 24-36 oz jar pasta sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:
- Combine water, meatballs, pasta, pasta sauce and Italian seasoning in the Instant Pot. Secure the lid, making sure the vent is closed.
- Using the display panel select the MANUAL function*. Use the +/- buttons and program the Instant Pot for 3 minutes.
- When the time is up, let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then quick-release the remaining pressure.
- Stir to evenly distribute the ingredients.
- Serve topped with grated parmesan cheese.
*If your Instant Pot does not have a MANUAL function, use the Pressure Cook function.
