Smoothies Have Caffeine? YES! 3 Easy, Simple Smoothie Recipes

Many of us like to start the day off with a big cup of coffee or at least some other form of caffeine such as tea or an energy drink. While we prioritize our caffeine intake, a lot of us also end up skipping what is deemed to be “the most important meal of the day”. With our busy schedules and busy lives, we often don’t spend the times to make our coffee and a healthy breakfast.

What if I told you there is a way to consume your liquid energy while also eating a healthy breakfast? We have put together some delicious caffeinated smoothie recipes to help you start the day off right. Choose the one that sounds the best or try all three before deciding which is your favorite!

Sweet Cinnamon Cold Brew Smoothie

To make this smoothie, you will need a banana, oats, yogurt, cinnamon, agave (or your favorite coffee sweetener), milk (or a milk substitute such as almond, soy, oat, or cashew), ice, and, of course, coffee. If you don’t have cold brew, feel free to use whatever coffee you have – you could even do a double espresso shot if that is what you prefer. Just be sure to let your coffee cool before adding it into your smoothie.

Add all the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth. Pour it into a cup and top it off with a dash of cinnamon. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana (sliced)
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1tbsp agave (or other sweetener)
  • 1 cup coffee (or double espresso shot)
  • 1 cup milk (or milk substitute)
  • 2 cups ice

Green Caffeine Smoothie

This recipe is for a green, avocado matcha smoothie. All you need is avocado, matcha powder, spinach, milk, honey, and ice. Get your greens and your caffeine fix all in one.

Just mix all your ingredients and blend until it is smooth. You can top your smoothie with a sprinkle of matcha powder.

Ingredients

  • ½ avocado
  • 1tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup milk (or milk substitute)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 2tbsp honey (or sweetener of choice)
  • 2 cups ice

Mocha Smoothie

This is a great smoothie option for any chocolate lovers. All you need to make this smoothie is Greek yogurt, vanilla, coconut milk, cocoa powder, cinnamon, honey, a banana, ice, and coffee. Again, this smoothie is best with cold brew, but feel free to use whatever kind of coffee you want whether it is normal coffee or espresso shots. Just make sure your coffee is cooled before you add it to the smoothie.

Just add all your ingredients to the blender and blend until it is smooth. Top the smoothie with some cinnamon powder and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup cold brew coffee
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 banana
  • 2tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2tbsp honey (or sweetener of choice)
  • 2 cups ice
