I borrowed an old crock pot trick here and wrapped pre-made dough around apple slices to make a scrumptious dumpling. In the Instant Pot (get yours here: https://amzn.to/2QmSPR1), the recipe actually came out juicier and more flavorful…and in just a faction of the time!
These juicy little flavor bombs couldn’t be easier to make. Just slice up an apple, wrap in dough, braise in apple cider for a few minutes, and off you go!

The apples are tender and flavorful, and the apple cider naturally turns into a luscious syrup you can drizzle over the dumpling at the end.
Serve this recipe alone or with ice cream for an amazing treat. Want to jazz it up even more? Try adding a dollop of whipped cream and some caramel sauce. So good!
