Cranberry Walnut Pinwheels

Cranberry and walnut pinwheels. Need I say more?! These are absolutely perfect for the holidays and on top of that, they turned out delicious!

They are full of sugar, zest, and will brighten anyone’s day!

You can add just about anything you want to these and they will still be good!


Ingredients:

  • 1 CUP Dried cranberries
  • 1 CUP Chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 CUP Sugar
  • Zest of 1 Orange
  • Refrigerated pie crusts
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • 2 Tbsp Water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Place the cranberries, walnuts, sugar, and zest in a mixing bowl; mix until thoroughly combined.
  4. Roll out one pie crust on a flat surface.
  5. Spread the cranberry filling on top of the pie crusts.
  6. Roll each pie crust into a log.
  7. Pinch the edges to seal.
  8. Brush each log with the egg mixture.
  9. Brush butter around the wheels.
  10. Carefully cut each log into 10 slices.
  11. Place the slices, cut side up, on the prepared baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
  12. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  13. Place pinwheels on a cooling rack and let cool before serving.
  14. Enjoy!
