BBQ-Spareribs
Introducing the mouthwatering low-calorie Chinese BBQ Spareribs recipe. Let’s dive in.
For this flavorful dish, you’ll need:
- Two pounds pork spareribs
- Two cloves of garlic, minced
- One tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- One tablespoon hoisin sauce
- One tablespoon honey or low-calorie sweetener
- One teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- Half a teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- A quarter teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Begin by marinating the pork spareribs. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, low-sodium soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey or low-calorie sweetener, Chinese five-spice powder, grated ginger, and black pepper.
Coat the spareribs with the marinade, ensuring they’re well covered. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally, a few hours in the refrigerator.
Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
If using a grill, cook the marinated spareribs for about 20-25 minutes on each side, or until they’re cooked through and have a nice char.
If using an oven, place the marinated spareribs on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) for about 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through.
Once the spareribs are cooked and have a lovely caramelized glaze, remove them from the grill or oven.
Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
Indulge in the succulent flavors of these low-calorie Chinese BBQ Spareribs.
